If you desire a getaway that's off the beaten track in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors then look no further. This fabulous chocolate box cottage is the perfect English countryside retreat. Built in the 1860s Applegarth was originally the residence for the headteacher for the School House next door - which is now a friendly local café. It's perfect for those seeking tranquillity as no roads pass the cottage - it is accessible only by the footpath and your enclosed garden surrounds the cottage. Only a 2 minute walk away from the village centre, Grosmont is a picturesque popular tourist destination. Great location for cyclists, walkers and steam train enthusiasts as there are beautiful walks and cycle paths through the Moors. A perfect little getaway to relax!

To access this Victorian cottage, go along the footpath from beside the train station over the quaint bridge and follow the attractively planted path leading up to the cottage just before the old school coffee shop. You can park nearby at the North Yorkshire Moors National Park car park with a permit provided for 1 vehicle, for an additional permit for a second vehicle please contact the North Yorkshire Moors National Park directly. Between October and March parking is also available on the village's main street. Enter the property through the side door into the utility room with a cloakroom/wc. Entrance hall, kitchen and dining area. Sitting room with a wood burning stove. Master double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom.
